من خمسين يوما والعدو الصهيوني يشن حربا مسعورة على غزة حيث أوقع ضحايا من الأطفال
والنساء بالآلاف ودمر البنى التحتية خاصة المستشفيات ودور العبادة والأماكن العامة
إضافة الى الحرمان من المياه، والطعام، والكهرباء والوقود. ولم يستثن العدو
الصهيوني من التدمير المراكز الثقافية والمكتبات ومراكز الأرشيف ودور النشر في
القطاع المحتل.
ونحن
إذ نستنكر هذا الهجوم الوحشي على البشر والحجر فإننا ندعو المؤسسات المعنية بحقوق
الإنسان والمساواة والعدالة والمحافظة على التراث الإنساني والحضاري للتدخل السريع
في الحرب الدائرة على غزة وإيقافها بأسرع ما يمكن وإعطاء الشعب الفلسطيني الحق في
الحياة وتقرير المصير أسوة ببقية شعوب الأرض. ونخص بالذكر مؤسسات الأمم المتحدة
وحقوق الانسان والمؤسسات المعنية بالمحافظة على التراث الإنساني والثقافي. إن
التضليل الإعلامي الذي تمارسه الصهيونية وهجومها المستعر على المؤسسات الثقافية
والإعلامية في ظل غياب المحاسبة هو أمر خطير يجب مواجهته بحزم وإيقافه من خلال
محاسبة المسؤولين عنه والوقوف بحزم بجانب هذه المؤسسات كي تستعيد دورها في نشر
الثقافة والإعلام الصادق غير المنحاز.

Joint Statement on the War on Gaza/Palestine

Over fifty days have passed, while the Zionist enemy has
been waging a frenzied war on Gaza, causing the death and displacement of
thousands of people, destroying infrastructure, especially hospitals, places of
worship and public places, in addition to depriving them of water, food
electricity and fuel. The enemy has not spared from the destruction the
cultural centers, libraries, archival centres, and publishing houses in the
occupied Gaza Strip.
While we condemn this brutal attack on human beings and
properties, we call on the institutions concerned with human rights, equality,
justice, and the preservation of human and cultural heritage to intervene
quickly in the ongoing war on Gaza and stop it as soon as possible. We call
upon the United Nations and its agencies, human rights and authorities
concerned with the preservation of human and cultural heritage to intervene. We
call upon all those who are concerned to give the Palestinians the right to
life and self-determination on an equal footing with the rest of the peoples of
the world.
The disinformation and misinformation practiced by Zionism
and raging attack on cultural and media institutions in the absence of
accountability is a serious matter that must be firmly confronted and stopped.
Those responsible for this vicious act must be held accountable and stand
firmly by these institutions to restore their role in spreading culture and
honest and unbiased media.
